UNDERSTAND NEURO-DEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS
"DYS" DISORDERS
Documentary directed by "It's not rocket science"
It's not rocket science, the magazine of discovery and science. They have trouble reading, writing, counting, coordinating their gestures or expressing themselves coherently. Today we are interested in children with what are called “dys disorders”. Whether it is dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysphasia, dyscalculia, dysorthographia, they would be in France between 10 and 15% to suffer from such learning disorders. Invisible disabilities, which can lead to massive school failure and great moral suffering if they are not well taken care of. To understand to what extent these disorders occupy an important place in the lives of children who are affected, Fred will meet young patients and the adults involved in their support.
Jamy, he will set up his laboratory at Neurospin, a reference center in brain imaging near Paris, where we study in particular the functioning of the brain of “dys” people.

The HOUSE DU DYS (MDD)
It is the setting up of a listening unit for young people, parents and families within schools (middle and high schools).
The objectives are to:
- allow each school in Martinique to acquire an MDD;
- relieve teachers and students (DYS) in great suffering (offer tools);
- give students in difficulty an additional chance to regain self-confidence.
To open an MDD in your school, contact secretariat ouMrs Aude ALEXANDRE.
